Katie (she/her) is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who provides services across the lifespan but specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 3 years old and up). She obtained her BS in Cognitive Neuropsychology from Drexel University, BSN from Stockton University (Summa Cum Laude, 4.0 GPA), and MSN from University of Pennsylvania (Summa Cum Laude). Katie has psychiatric experience in acute inpatient, crisis response, community mental health, and child and adolescent outpatient settings. She also has over 3 years of RN experience on an adult inpatient neuroscience and epilepsy monitoring unit, where she still works on a per diem basis.
Katie provides care from a lens that is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, harm reduction-based, and client autonomy-focused. She uses a holistic and person-centered approach to identify and truly understand the root cause of clients’ concerns before offering options for treatment. It is important to Katie that clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood as active participants in their care.
Katie specializes in the treatment of ADHD, autism, mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, behavior difficulties, PANS/PANDAS, and other mental health/neurodevelopmental concerns. She is also experienced in treating co-occurring dysautonomia/POTS as well as neurological comorbidities such as epilepsy and PNES. Katie is certified in epilepsy nursing by the AANN.
